The delivery men who had initially been assigned to transport the eggs had endured the misfortune of running into a clearing of Gloom in the Petalburg Woods. Paralyzed by a massive wave of STUN SPORE, they had called for help with their phones. And, coincidentally, it was Remiel and Razz that had been chosen to take upon the assignment for the daycare.[break][break]

Upon arriving on his Braviary's back, Remiel dismounted before sending Thorondor to enclose the area containing the Gloom with a ROCK SLIDE. Properly closed off, and away from their spores, the prince approached the paralyzed delivery men and unclipped a luxury ball from his belt, summoning the Indeedee he called Bannon to heal them with AROMATHERAPY.[break][break]

"We'll take it from here," He says, helping one of the men take off the padded backpack that was specifically designed to carry a pokemon egg. "When you can properly move your legs, head back to Oldale Town and get some rest. Kingsman and I will make the rest of the journey to Rustboro City." Nodding, he places on the backpack and firmly tightens its straps around his shoulder.[break][break]

He turns to look at Razz afterwards. "These eggs are bound to hatch at any moment, but it would be safer to travel on foot than in the air. The winds above are too strong." He remarks, turning to his pokemon when they regroup with him and returning them to their balls. He clips them back onto his belt and reaches for a different one as he waits for Razz's response.[break]

Rescue was nothing new for the Ranger. So when the call was picked up on his radio Razz was more than willing to lend his aid. Thankfully Remiel was with him at the time for them both to arrive. With the Rock Slide taking care of the Gloom Razz goes to help with the delivery men as he releases his Chikoria he lets her aide the Indeedee with AROMATHERAPY as with the large group of Gloom he didn’t know how poisoned they were. As Remiel does the talking he has Laurel follow up with HEAL PULSE for the delivery. [break][break]

When the suggestion of moving on foot is offered Razz does go close and slightly opens the pack to take a look. He swears he seems one move as he shakes his head and steps back. “I’d advise against that, the winds may be rough but these are very much ready to hatch and considering these need to go elsewhere it would be better for us to use pokemon who can handle rough winds,” he informs as he gestures to the shiny Flygon he rode on. “A Flygon should work as sandstorms are a normal thing for them, wind like this shouldn’t be a problem”

Remiel's mouth becomes a stern line. "It's not the Flygon I'm worried about: it's the integrity of the egg. One strong gust is all it takes to endanger it. Furthermore..." He holds a luxury ball in one hand, and points in the air with the other. It seems the wind sweeping through the woods is carrying an updraft of thick orange pollen along with it. "Spring is here. Which means the sky above the forest is thick with spores and pollen."[break][break]

Even a Flygon wasn't immune to that. Though he supposed he could say the same about the Scolipede he released. "I would rather stop and safely watch an egg hatch, than crash and destroy it. But if you feel your decision is wise... then I can't stop you." He sighs, mounting the armored beast. "Good luck, Kingsman."[break][break]

Without further hesitation, he lightly kicks a heel into the Scolipede's side and spur its forward with haste. The ride may be a little bumpy, which the padding in the egg's backpack would help with, but at the very least the air was clearer than above.[break]

While questioning his methods was something more the other rangers did as in most their eyes he was still the ‘rookie’ among them. Though to hear the questioning from a ‘friend’ did put him down a peg. “Protecting pokemon is what I do and I think handling it shouldn’t be too much trouble,” he tried to defend himself as he does bring out a Mime Jr to use Safeguard for the pollen. Though maybe a demonstration is what was needed, after all it wasn’t like the eggs Remiel had were the only ones that needed transferring. [break][break]

“As to you,” Razz replied once the Safeguard was up and Razz put on one of the bags that held the other eggs. Razz takes up a seat on Shamrock while he returns his Chikorita and Mime Jr, the ranger puts on his goggles and face mask before tapping Shaomrock’s center to take off into the air. [break][break]

Hopefully his instincts and trust in his shamrock were well put as he didn’t want to make a fool of himself or the rangers in front of the other. [break][break]

Skittering across the landscape smoothly, unperturbed by the gnarled tree roots and moss-covered rocks that tried to impede his way, Thorondor was proving to be far more effective than Remiel could have hoped. There were a few bumps and leaps along the way, of course. But nothing that the ambassador wasn't already braced for as he held on tightly to the Scolipede's reins.[break][break]

Despite the miniscule conflict he'd had with Kingsman earlier, he really did hope the ranger was faring well up above. Despite the conditions, the young man had proven quite resourceful with the pokemon he had on hand. As expected of a Hoennian ranger, really. But quite admirable nonetheless. Now they only had to see which one would reach the gates Rustboro City first.[break][break]

And, more importantly, whether they would do so with both of their eggs intact.[break]

"You holding up alright?" Razz ask his Flygon as her wings flap to keep them at a steady pace. Already her biology basically gave her goggles of her own to keep the pollen out. And thankfully Safeguard was doing what it needed to prevent any other troubles. The ranger looks behind him toward Salem, "The eggs?" he questions as the psychic cat looks at the bag to see them they're shaking still but they're okay. Salem gives a pat on his back to signal as such and he is relived for now. [break][break]

Well from the thoughts on the eggs rather than the thoughts of the other not trusting his judgement. Though he supposes in the end it doesn't really matter as long as they got to the end safe.

Though somewhat unconventional a tactic, Remiel summoned his trusty teacup butler, Earl Grey, to aid in Nepthys' traversal over the terrain. "Move ahead for a Baton Pass. Don't stop until we've reached the gates of Rustboro." He commands, prompting the Sinistea to open a portal (PHANTOM FORCE) and exit it far ahead.[break][break]

Acting as both as precaution for wild pokemon and a means to cover more ground quickly, Nepthys seamlessly switches places with Earl Grey again and again (BATON PASS), crossing great strides in relatively short bursts of time. Of course, towards the end, Earl Grey's PHANTOM FORCE will come into play as soon as its within range to do so. But, for now, a mysterious predator attempts to keep pace with them nearby.

Salem pats on his back again making Razz turn his head to show him how one of the eggs begun to shake. Well wasn't that lovely, he taps on Shamrock as they no longer had the luxury of doing a steady flight to ensure that nothing happen to the eggs. Part of him wanted to scold the others for delivering these pokemon so late. If they were so worried about it this should have been done long before now. [break][break]

In acknowledgement Shamrock straightens her wings taking a dive down to allow gravity to take her. Using it to increase her speed at the end before moving up and keeping up that same momentum before quickly flapping and heading toward the gates of Rustboro. From his left side he took note of another traveling quickly from the ground. A small smile on his face as it seems the other was able to keep up alright. [break][break]

Though they were about to land so they would see just whose decision was best this time around.

The gates were within reach. Phasing in and out of Earl Grey's phantom zone was no longer necessary. Or, at least, so he thought. Yards away from exiting the forest, a Sneasel leapt out from the bushes to try and intercept the Scolipede. Only these egg-eating scavengers were so bold to try such a thing— especially a starving one.[break][break]

Regardless, the royal's sharp eyes spotted the threat just in time to spur his armored steed forward. "Baton Pass!" And, instead of an egg, the Sneasel wrapped its claws around a small, possessed teacup: one that promptly blasted it back with a SHADOW BALL.[break][break]

The sudden attack had altered the course of Nepthys' trajectory. By the time they finally reached the gates of Rustboro, it was just in time to see Razz descending upon his Flygon. Earl Grey rejoined the group shortly thereafter. "I'm happy to see we've both made it with our eggs intact," The galarian nods, dismounting his Scolipede.[break][break]

"Let's make haste to finish this job together." The egg he carried was already trembling with excitement in its backpack.[break][break]
